Had an old 1Ds and actually preferred it at times for portrait work over my 1D Mk II daily drivers (not enough budget for 1Ds Mk II). The full-frame was really nice back then! Agree about the horrible batteries. Probably still have a few old NiMH packs that wouldn't hold a charge anymore in a drawer somewhere :)
